I have felt less than inspired to do, well, anything these last couple weeks. I miss sewing; but dearest Cookies has a cold and has found the need to be glued to me at all times. I don't mind wearing her again, but you can't do much with a 24lb baby strapped to your chest, and Bum has been less than helpful in this whole situation. Housework? FORGET IT. I am so behind on laundry and the place is an absolute pit. I feel bad for the Extra's mommies because they have to see this place every day. I just haven't been up to it.
I can't blame depression... Just chalk it up to feeling lazy I guess- at least as lazy as a mommy is allowed to be. The house still needs to function, food to be made, dishes need to be done, Bum needs clothes for work, and Cookies needs a playmate. All you mommies know the infinite list of other little things that have to happen every day to make things "GO".
I need a nap.

Baby love
Cookies is so stinking cute. We have been teaching her sign language since she was about 6 months old- and even though she has understood for a long time, she only recently started actively using sign.
Her newest signs are "please" and "thank you". For Cookies, "please" involves much more than a simple circle on her chest. She uses both hands and rubs vigerously on her torso, all the while giggling at the thought of getting what she has asked for. "Thank you" has developed into a special blow kiss- it reminds me of someone kissing their fingers and saying "bellicimo". Who knew my daughter was an undercover Italian.

Snowing
It is snowing... AGAIN! We had several years of no snow- and now it seems as though it won't stop. I am sick of being indoors! Sometimes it seems like it is a lot easier to spend money when there is snow on the ground, because we are stuck doing things indoors. Have I mentioned I hate money? I am looking forward to being able to play outside with my kiddo!!

Car...
I hate having one car. It really- truely stinks. I have to know my plans for the day ahead of time- so no random errand running, no spontaneous lunch with friends. I end up stuck at home- with no option to take the extras and Cookies to play. God forbid I ever have even a little emergency- because I will have to call 911 if I don't have the car. A cut that needs stiches doesn't need an ambulance... if you have a car!
We make it work- because it has to, but it sure would be nice to have an extra car- even just for errands.

Resolutions
After reading a blog and the having subsequent conversations about that blog- I felt inspired to write down my own list of resolutions for the year 2007.
I have read that by simply writing somthing down you are 100x more likely to accomplish it than if you keep it in your head- so here it goes!!
1. Dedicate more to myself- time, attention, and goals
2. Finish the things I start.
3. Tell people my needs/wants instead of bending to theirs
4. Find a church home
5. Surround my family with caring people who have similar family expectations/ beliefs
6. Potty Train Cookies!!!
It isn't much- and a lot of it is cliche, but I am not feeling overly creative today- and you have to start somewhere!

Thank you
Good Lord!
Oh my goodness the last 2 months have run away with me! Cookies is now 1. How does a year pass so quickly? I am going to blink and she will be in school!
We had a nice Christmas. Traveling would have been nice that day- except we had a giant blizzard that closed the airport, so all the flights were backed up and we had to wait... Oh well!
I promise myself to try to be better about posting...
